Default 1000 cc sportbike engine

A friend of mine races dwarf cars and they use motorcycle engines in them. The club has recently started to allow water cooled and FI engines up to 1000cc. So if anybody has a wrecked bike or knows anyone who does can you let me know. Doesn't have to be wrecked of course but not wanting to spend the money a working bike would cost so figured best bet would be a bike that has sound engine but something like bad frame has made it to be "totaled". He prefers a GSXR but will take what he can get.
Thanks, Jamie

Did you specifically want a 1000cc? Joe has a 600cc honda... I think is and 05 or 06 with everything, FI, Wiring, Everything.

Well it's for a race car so he wants as fast as he can get and be within the limits allowed by the club. He told me they said that he can't use the gsxr 1000 because several year models of that engine produced to much horsepower. Pretty much he is limited to around 150 hp. It's a small club so the rules aren't very well defined. I know he said there are a few 1000 cc bikes he can't use. But anything that's 900 cc but has some good horsepower would be good.

Also since all he wants is the engine and wiring and those type things he'd rather not buy a bike that has a lot of other racing type add ons. Only reason being is the seller will want to charge more which is completely understandable for aftermarket exhaust and commander and tires, etc. which none of which he will be using. I was just hoping somebody had a wrecked bike that was just sitting around not driveable but engine was still sound.

What Joe has at my shop is just an engine... the bike has basically been parted. Everything this guy will need is there... but its a 600... I would guess that motor make about 110hp. Im sure it could be built to make more. I think full race built 600 are making around 130hp.

Hey Jamie,
It actually sounds like a good deal since he doesn't want to have to pay the extras for total bike but what he has in car now is already bigger. He has an older GS1100 engine air cooled and they recently started allowing water cooled up to supposedly around 1000 cc so that's why he's looking to try to make his car a little faster.
